We live in a golden age of astronomy & astrophysics. I can't see why, if they sort out the orbits, they should not be able to have a good hard look at where it is and detect it by gravitational microlensing (or perhaps it even is accreting tiny amounts of stuff so we'll be able to see the accretion disk).
